Current Conditions Flat Brook River
The Flat Brook is a tributary of the Delaware River that runs for about 16 miles from its headwaters near High Point State Park to the Delaware River. It is a gentle flowing freestone river with pocket water, runs, riffles, and pools. Being a freestone river, a wading staff is highly recomended. One option is the Patagoina Wading Staff or you can get a basic wading staff on Amazon.
With a wading staff, having wading boots with cleats or studs will help your boots grip if any rock snot (Didymo) is on the rocks. After you fish the Flat Brook, it is important to clean your waders and wading boots to provent the spread of Didymo.
